A4 Size “Digital Paper” Tablet by Sony

Sony built a prototype tablet with a black and white display using E-Ink Mobius technology with a drawing surface of 13.3 inches (A4 Size). The protective screen is plastic rather than glass, being relatively flexible and offering the feel of a paper. As you will see in the video, when you write on it is pressed inward.

The thickness of the prototype tablet is 6.8 mm which is 30% thinner than a 4th generation iPad. The screen resolution is 1600x1200 and is designed for taking notes, creative tasks and data entry. Sony claims that its battery will last for up to three weeks without recharge. Additionally, it will be used for educational purposes.
